Many of us caught it as teenagers and never lost it!!!

After years of searching for the right "Starter '52 Chevy"

One was found this week to start on a long planned

project...recreating my Jones High hot rod... Alley Oop!

Some of us just never grew up...

We have the new "Alley Oop II" in Dallas, garaged and ready to start the resto-mod work soon. First project is registration...the we will start ordering parts to install a complete new front end and rearend with 4-wheel independant suspension with 4-wheel disc brakes. Photos to follow

or go fast.  Detroit dealt a blow to our "Hot Rodding" past time when it saw the

potential market and produced the muscle cars of the late 60s.  But while it

lasted there was nothing like Friday nights in Houston... car watching others

baby blue Impala...Ronnie Rudell's super fast '54 Chevy... James Reed's

red Covette and so many others? Some will remember the illegal drag strip

just off Mykawa Road...We lived and experienced the scenes of

"American Graffiti" some 15 years before the movie was produced...
